Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Nabil Fekir for just £30million.

The Gunners are in the market for new attacking recruits and have identified Wilfried Zaha as a top target in this summer's transfer window.

But cash-strapped Arsenal are being priced out of a deal for the former Manchester United star with Crystal Palace holding out for a £80million transfer fee.

Unai Emery's men will therefore miss out on Zaha unless the winger can convince the south London club to let him go for less, or Arsenal can boost their transfer budget by selling players, as reported by Mirror Sport's Chief Football Writer John Cross.

But there may be an alternative for the Gunners with former Liverpool target Fekir being offered to the club for just £30million.

Fekir very nearly completed a switch to the Reds last summer with Liverpool preparing to pay double the fee Arsenal have been quoted for the Frenchman.

But the transfer was cancelled at the eleventh hour following Fekir's medical at Melwood.

Former Lyon manager Bruno Genesio recently spoke out about the midfielder's frustration at the transfer to Liverpool breaking down.

"I think that he [Fekir] was very frustrated with his cancelled transfer to Liverpool at the beginning of the season," Genesio told French radio station RMC.

"He made the World Cup, he had some injuries. He certainly did not feel strong enough to take on the role of leader, which he had done the previous season, relaying technical information on the pitch.

"Nabil is coming to the end of a cycle in Lyon. He has experienced a lot of things here.

"I think that he needs a new challenge, to push his limits, and to be self-critical. Because we know, we always need a personal challenge in a career, and to ask questions of ourselves."

Arsenal have held talks with free agent Yacine Brahimi (

In addition to Fekir Arsenal have also been linked to Yacine Brahimi, and have even held talks with the Algeria international.

Brahimi is available on a free transfer after his contract expired with Porto, but is reportedly demanding a £3.5million signing-on fee to make the deal happen.
